Sun Spots
Is your face as clear as you would like it to be?

Brown spots are a problem for many women.  Hormones are often a factor in their development.  Several medications make women more susceptible to sun damage, leading to freckles, spots and a condition called melasma.  All are known as hyperpigmentation.  Some common medications and topicals that lead to photosensitivity are listed below.

birth control pills
most antibiotics
antihistamines
antidepressants
non steroidal antinflamatories
retinoid products such as Retin A
Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Get Rid of Hyperpigmentation

Several ingredients will help fade spots.  These include Retin A, Kinetin, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Vitamin C and hydroquinone.  Each ingredient has its strengths and weaknesses.  I encourage you to discuss them with your dermatologist.
The most widely used and frequently prescribed ingredient is hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is stronger than ingredients such as vitamin C.  One downside is that hydroquinone can eventually lead to skin lightening called hypopigmentation..  If you chose hydroquinone, limit its use to six months and stop using the product once the desired result is achieved.  Then, be obsessive about using sunscreen.  To purchase an effective product that contains hydroquinone and other helpful ingredients, Click here icon.

You can have a clear face.
